BALCONI IN THE EXTRUSION FIELD

One more target has been achieved by Balconi in the field of extrusion, where Balconi reaffirms its role of leader.

The first of three Balconi horizontal high speed presses KE 100 tons has been delivered, installed and started producing aluminum components for Automotive in an important Austrian multinational Corporation’s plant.
When placing the order for these machines, our Customer had set us the target, which was never achieved before, to manufacture a machine capable to reach 330 strokes per minute with a very high level of automation and control.
The construction of this machine has involved a considerable effort for Balconi to develop an extremely accurate and reliable press: the hydrostatic ram guides, the quick die adjustment in hundredths of millimeters, the press-stopping angle in less than 180° at the maximum production speed, the supervision of press operator access, are just some of the innovations introduced on this machine.
Target achieved once again and full Customer’s satisfaction obtained.
The next target for Balconi is even more ambitious: the construction of the BIGGEST PRESS IN THE WORLD for the extrusion of large aluminum components for the automotive industry.
